Predict The Scores World Cup 2026 Competitions
All Predict The Scores entries are entered into the Overall League, and you may choose to join your own Mini Leagues. Managers compete to be the top-scoring Team in each League over the entire duration of the World Cup.
In addition:
- The Team at the top of a League at the end of the World Cup Group Stage will be crowned Group Stage Champions
- A new separate League Table (for each League) will begin once the Group Stage is complete, and all Predict The Scores Teams will compete in the Knockout Stage League. So if you're hopeless in the Group Stages, you start afresh and have every chance of being a Knockout Stage winner.

Entering your Predictions and snooping on the opposition
Predictions may be entered up to the scheduled start time of each match. You can come back and amend your predictions at any time, up until the start time.
If you do not enter a prediction for a match by the scheduled start time, a random prediction will be generated for you.
You can view other teams' predictions by clicking on the Team Name in a League Table. You will not be able to see other Managers' predictions before each match's scheduled start time. Log on just after a match has started to see what scores your rivals have predicted.

How your Predict The Scores 'team' earns points |
Your 'team' will receive points based on how accurate your predictions are:
Exact score = 5 points
Correct margin (e.g. you predict Mexico 0 South Africa 4, actual score 1-5) = 3 points
Correct result (but not correct margin) = 2 points
Wrong winner (e.g. you predict Mexico to win and they lose) = -2 points
For clarity, you cannot get 3 points for correctly predicting a draw - you will either get 5 points for the correct score, or 2 points for the correct result.
|
Knockout stages - extra time and penalties
Your Knockout Stage predictions are for the score at the end of 'normal time'. You will also be asked to predict who you will think will go through if the match ends in a draw at 90 minutes (even if you don't predict a draw). If the game is a draw and you successfully pick the qualifying team, you earn an additional 2 points.

Bonus Points
If only one Predict The Scores Team gets the exact score = 3 bonus points
Two get it spot-on = 2 bonus points
3, 4 or 5 get it right = 1 point - subject to at least 40 predictions being made
The same scoring applies if 5 or less Teams predict the correct result - so for example if Mexico beat South Africa in the opening match, and only one Predictor guesses a Mexico win, 3 points are earned. This means it is technically possible to score 11 points in a Group Stage match... 5 points as standard for the correct score, 3 bonus points if you were the only one to get the correct result, and 3 more for being the only one to get the score exactly right.
Random predictions don’t count towards the calculation, but do get the points. So for example if only one Team correctly predicts the score and two random predictions are the same, all three will score 3 bonus points.
