Another day fairly short on points. Three hit double figures - the top two on random scores. Thomas Vaughan takes Manager of the Day with a perfect 15, Wycliffe Osei scores 12. Top predicting manager was Paul Willingham with 11 points, 2 for the Argentina win and the maximum 9 for Switzerland vs Colombia.
Neil Mullen continues to rule the roost and his 5 point total for Day 27 is a point more than Ryan Keenan in 2nd, who in turn scored 1 more than Nick Mullen in 3rd. So Neil is now 5 points ahead of Ryan, who's 3 ahead of Nick. Richard Hancy climbs a couple of places to 4th to join Jimmy Jazz on 163, 6 off the top three.
Richard H is also up to 4th in the Knockout Stage League, just 3 points off top spot. 2 points each for the top two, Mike Moore and Jeff Norton, is enough to keep them ahead. Jonathan Liu gains a point and is now 2 behind in 3rd.

SWITZERLAND 0 COLOMBIA 0 (Switzerland through on penalties)
Two predicted the 0-0. Gold star for Paul Willingham for also selecting Switzerland to progress for 9 points. 5 for correct score, 2 bonus points as only two predicted it, 2 for Switzerland to go through. Silver star for Chris Bounds with 7 points... Chris had Colombia to ultimately progress. Thomas Vaughan had a perfect day with random predictions, 9 points on this one following 6 points for Argentina 3 Egypt 2.
2 points each for our top two, nothing for Nick Mullen in 3rd, Richard Hancy scores 4 points to climb to 4th. In the Knockout Stage League, our top five all had 1-2 so zero points there. Richard H is up to 4th while Jimmy Jazz and Ryan Keenan in 6th/7th move a couple of points closer to top spot.

ARGENTINA 3 EGYPT 2
Is it just me or - for the most part - has this been a cracking World Cup? What a game. Looked like -2 points for very nearly all of us until the holders turned it round to win 3-2. Three got that spot on, making it worth a bonus point for 6. Stuart Mclean is our highest placed manager to take the 6 and is into the top 20. A lot of 2 points and a few 3s in our top 10... Neil Mullen among the 3s, and 1 point more than Ryan Keenan. So Neil 5 clear of Ryan, Nick Mullen a point behind before a gap of 7 to Alison Giovannetti and beyond.
2 points for all the top nine in the Knockout Stage League except for 3rd place Jonathan Liu. 3 points for Jonathan moves him a point closer to the top two... the gap now 2 points.
