Predict The Scores

DAY 25 - SUNDAY JULY 5th
Points hard to come by on Day 25 with a win for Norway over Brazil and England winning 2-3 against Mexico. Luck turned provider with random scores taking Ryan Keenan to the Manager of the Day trophy with 10 points. Honourable MotD to William Montague with 8 points for predicting Brazil 1-2 and collecting 3 points for going for the same score for Mexico-England. At the top of our Overall League, Neil Mullen scored -2, allowing Nick Mullen to make up 3 points by scoring 1 point. Nick is now 4 behind Neil, with Ryan Keenan now up to 3rd and just 2 behind Neil. A gap of 8 then to 5th, where 5 points is enough to see Alison Giovannetti climb four places to 5th.

Mike Moore lost top spot in the Knockout Stage League after the opening match, losing 2 points while Jeff Norton took over with a 5. However, Jeff then lost 2 for predicting a Mexico win - Mike picked up 3 to finish the day back on top, 2 points ahead of Jeff.

MEXICO 2 ENGLAND 3
Two managers predicted this one, so 2 bonus points make it a 7-pointer. Nice work from Robert Metzger and Paul Kizilos. One random came in too and that was for Ryan Keenan, 3rd in our Overall League table. Ryan makes it 10 points for the day in which he's climbed from 5th and made serious in-roads into our top two.

BRAZIL 1 NORWAY 2
-2 for lots of us here, and Brazil's last gasp consolation is massive. Of the 10 that predicted Norway to win, eight were on 1-2 for 5 points, when they were heading for 2. The other two were on 0-1 and 2-3, so gain 3 points. Our top three all lost 2 points, with Ryan Keenan up to 3rd having resorted to random predictions recently and getting 3-4. Alison Giovannetti and Jimmy Jazz were two of those who predicted the correct score and they climb to 5th and 6th, both 7 points closer to top spot. Jeff Norton got it spot-on too, and Jeff is our new Knockout Stage League leader, up three places and passing Mike Moore who lost 2 points. Richard Hancy slips from 2nd to 4th, with zero points a decent result for Jonathan Liu to keep him 3rd, having predicted 2-2. Jimmy J is up eight places to 7th, Alison G up 24 to 9th.
