Predict The Scores

DAY 23 - FRIDAY JULY 3rd
Lexie Christiansen takes Day 23's Manager of the Day trophy with 17 points, closely followed by Margaret Couture with 16. Margaret's scores were random and she got lucky with 11 points for Argentina vs Cape Verde, Lexie's was all her own work with 5 points for Australia 1 Egypt 1, 9 for Argentina's success and 3 for Colombia's win.

I found a few anomalies in the scoring from a few days back and fixed them today so a few team's scores have been updated from earlier matches. Nick Mullen's score was down by 4 which has been rectified. Nick picked up a point more than Neil Mullen (10-9) on Day 22 and is 7 points behind our leader, 6 points ahead of Richard Hancy in 3rd. Richard scored 12 today. Mike Moore stays top of the Knockout Stage League, 4 ahead of Richard H and Jonathan Liu.

COLOMBIA 1 GHANA 0
Nine got this one spot-on for 5 points. It includes Neil Mullen, hitting his 16th correct score.

ARGENTINA 1 CAPE VERDE 1 (3-2 AET)
2 points for most for predicting that Argentina would progress if it were a draw. Nick Mullen selected Cape Verde so Neil Mullen goes another 2 points clear. Four did get the 1-1, three randoms and Audrey Ettaouchi who predicted it, plus Argentina to qualify, for 11 points.

AUSTRALIA 1 EGYPT 1 (Australia win on penalties)
1-1 was our most selected score and 19 teams take the maximum 7 points for also selecting Egypt to ultimately progress. 12 more pick up 5 points, nine teams score 4 (the draw plus Egypt to qualify), 64 score 2 points with 34 left empty-handed. Our leader Neil Mullen is one of those who scored 2 points, so 40 of us make up points on top spot. Nick Mullen picked up the 7 points to reduce the gap from 12 to 7, Richard Hancy did too and is back up to 3rd spot. Oh by the way, that's now a remarkable five perfect predictions in a row from Nick Mullen.

Mike Moore increases his lead at the top of the Knockout Stage League with the 7 points, Richard Hancy bounces back up four places to 2nd, Jonathan Liu climbs six to 3rd. Norah Ettaouchi had the score right but the wrong qualifiers, 5 points takes Norah up one place to 4th.
