Not gonna lie I was shocked when I checked the stats that only seven predicted the 2-0 win for Mexico. Another seven pick up 3 points for the two goal margin. 2 points for Neil Mullen is enough to take the gap back up from 2 points to 4 and it’s now the two Richards, Bounds and Hancy, who are closest. Roisin Guargena, our leader at the end of Day 4, is the highest placed to get this one right and returns to our top 10. With Paul Willingham scoring -2, Mike Moore takes top spot in the Knockout Stage, Richard Hancy with him on 25 points.

Well the most popular score was 3-1 but Sweden failed to score. 17 take the 5 points, six teams take 3 points, 78 score 2. 2 points each for our top two - their first of the day - then it's the chase of the Richards. Richard Hancy was 3rd before this match and has gained 5 on the top two today. Hancy is back down to 4th with Richard Bounds taking his second spot-on of the day and up to 3rd. It's getting seriously close at the top.
In the Knockout Stage League, Paul Willingham's Randomonium luck ran out with a -2. Nevertheless Paul is still top, but Mike Moore and Richard Hancy are just a point behind now.

A long way to go, but I feel this is a great result for the competition. The most selected score, 33 teams pick up 5 points. 14 score 3 points, a further 32 score 2. Yet our top three in the Overall League table all went for a draw. Neil Mullen stays top, still 2 points ahead of Ryan Keenan. Richard Hancy has now predicted four of the five Round of 32 matches spot-on, and is up to 3rd. Richard remains 4th in the Knockout Stage League though, with the one he missed being the Paraguay success that brought so many points to random scores. Paul Willingham stays top of the Knockout Stage League and got lucky again with 3 points for a 0-1. Mike Moore is up to 2nd... Mike got 3 points for an actual prediction of the opening Round of 32 game, then 13 from the next three on randoms, but was back to predicting for this one... and got it correct.
