Predict The Scores

DAY 19 - MONDAY JUNE 29th
Maura Horgan and Paul Willingham (Randomonium) share Manager of the Day with 17 points from random scores. Paul is top of the Knockout Stage League, 4 ahead of Maura. Neil Mullen is still top of the Overall League, Ryan Keenan halves the gap to 2 points.

NETHERLANDS 1 MOROCCO 1 (Morocco win on penalties)
5 points for Ryan Keenan regained the ground he’d lost during the day in the Overall League on leader Neil Mullen. Ryan in fact gains 2 points for the day and the gap is now 2. Randoms lead the way in the Knockout Stage League with Paul Willingham out in front. Richard Hancy in 4th is top predicting manager, Richard also up six places to 4th in the Overall League having already predicted three of the four correct scores.

GERMANY 1 PARAGUAY 1 (Paraguay win on penalties)
Well only one team predicted a draw at all, and yes it was 1-1, making it worth the maximum possible 11 points for Paul Willingham's The Shockers. Paul also selected Paraguay to progress for the extra 2 points. However, having scored -12 points to date, The Shockers stay bottom - though they are now out of the negatives for the competition, with 1 point in total. That said, Shockers climb from 104th to 14th in the Knockout Stage League. Oh and guess who's top of the Knockout Stage Leaague? Oh dear, it's Paul Willingham with his random entry Randomonium. Having scored 26 points in the entire Group Stage, Randomonium are on 21 points so far in the Knockouts. Not surprisingly, the top eight in the Knockout Stage League have been randomising their scores and all collected at least 7 in this match. Not to worry - you cannae win anything with randoms.

BRAZIL 2 JAPAN 1
At the risk of repeating myself too often... another injury time goal changes everything. 2-1 was the most popular predicted score and 5 points come in for 32 managers. They include Neil Mullen, who goes back ahead in the race for most corrected scores with his thirteenth. It's 3 more points than Neil's three nearest challengers - The Mullenator are back to 7 points clear.

Four of the 12 managers who picked up maximum points in the first Round of 32 match did so again. Those four therefore lead the way in the Knockout Stage League with 11 points apiece. Ben Brown, Gary Pearson, Jimmy Jazz and Richard Hancy. Will one of them make it three from three with Germany vs Paraguay?
